December 31 , 2025

As the official sports surface supplier for the 2025 Bahrain Asian Youth Games, Citygreen Sports (CGT) delivered a comprehensive athletics system upgrade at the Bahrain National Stadium, the event's main venue. The stadium's track has now officially achieved World Athletics (WA) Class 1 certification—the highest international standard for competition-grade athletics tracks.

The certification was formally presented in Bahrain during an official ceremony attended by Mr. Huang, Director of CGT's International Marketing Center, alongside Mr. Yousuf, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the 3rd Bahrain Asian Youth Games, and Dr. Abdulrahman, President of the Bahrain Sports Authority.

WA Class 1—Certified Track Engineered for Performance, Climate Resilience, and International Trust

WA Class 1 certification represents the highest level of performance compliance for athletic tracks, covering critical indicators such as shock absorption, vertical deformation, traction, surface evenness, and dimensional accuracy—ensuring athlete safety, performance consistency, and record eligibility.

Located in a high-temperature, high-UV environment, the Bahrain National Stadium track was designed from the outset for extreme heat, intense sunlight, and high-frequency competition use, requiring a system-level engineering approach.
CGT integrated heat- and UV-resistant materials, optimized structural layering, and precision installation to ensure long-term elasticity, surface stability, and reliable performance—delivering a climate-resilient, WA-certified athletics track system suitable for major international sporting events.

Beyond technical validation, this internationally recognized certification serves as a strong endorsement of CGT's comprehensive sports surface system capability while also providing high-standard quality assurance for the venues of the Bahrain Asian Youth Games.

From system design and material development to professional installation and final independent testing, the project reflects Citygreen Sports' end-to-end delivery capability—ensuring full compliance with World Athletics requirements from construction through certification.

Supporting Global Sports Events with Trusted Surfaces

As global sporting events grow in scale, complexity, and geographical diversity, the demand for certified, system-driven sports surfaces has never been higher. Venues now require surfaces that not only comply with international standards but also deliver consistent performance under varied climatic conditions and intensive usage.

Building on projects such as the Bahrain National Stadium, CGT's end-to-end delivery capability—from system design and material development to professional installation and quality verification—ensures that each venue is equipped to meet rigorous international standards. By combining technical expertise, material innovation, and precision installation, this integrated approach provides organizers with confidence that the infrastructure will support athlete performance, maintain safety, and uphold the integrity of competition, enabling venues to host world-class events where records can be recognized internationally.
